Okay, good to know.
I got Gamemode installed. and configured to run on lutirs…i think.
There are a lot of options I will have to look through or find a good optimization video/article.

This one of the videos I like to recommend for Lutris, he also has some other videos on his channel and website for Lutris as well.
Thank you!
If I use the website to do the install, how do I install extra dl content?
Which game? Some games I’ve had to use in-game menus for DLC but I can check,
Assassins creed 3. I got it from humble bundle. Not a steam key though.
Gotcha, so it’ll be the uplay version. Install the game via the second option here: https://lutris.net/games/assassins-creed-iii/
I checked the install script and it will install the uplay launcher along with the game. So any DLC you should be able to install through the uplay launcher.
Thank you. Apparently I need to install Wine first. before I can install the game. Actually, I’m not sure. It may be working.
This is from the Lutris github, it includes a list of all the WINE dependencies that you’ll need, just go down to the Arch section. https://github.com/lutris/docs/blob/master/WineDependencies.md#archantergosmanjaroother-arch-derivatives
Are you sure that link is correct? I found it.
It’s not working correctly since I linked a markdown file, I’ll edit it
Oh sorry, i thought you had wine installed already
out of those you’ll just need
sudo pacman -S wine-staging winetricks
Rest of them will install with it
This post is full of so much Gold information.
Definitely working on my games tonight after the kids go to bed.

It definitely is. I had never tried Lutris and it seems to be pretty awesome.
So, I installed it from the website, but when it launches it sales “no file provided”. Any ideas?
It is set to launch at /home/workstation0/1Toshiba/assassins-creed-iii/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Ubisoft/Ubisoft Game Launcher/Uplay.exe
but checking the file manager, that ubisoft folder isn’t there
Yea its sounds like the uplay launcher did not install, similar to the issue here: https://github.com/lutris/lutris/issues/1770 with battle net
It’s an awful solution but I would try removing the game completely and reinstalling.
What is the best way to remove? Delete folder or remove through lutris?
I always remove through Lutris, it’ll delete the folder anyways.
I got a “can’t detect wine-mono package”/ Do I just hit install or do I need to install that through aur or pacman?
Just follow the prompts through Lutris and let it install everything. You shouldn’t have to mess with installing packages manually.
