Proton (AUR) taking forever to install and then update?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if it was normal that the Proton package from the AUR repository takes soooo long to update (and to install in the first place) ?
It took me almost an hour to install it and updates are also very long. As it’s the only app which takes so long, I was wondering if that was normal ?

Yes, it is being built from source. You are compiling the software on your machine.

It isn’t a prebuilt package you are installing.
