Lets go through step by step from the beginning.
I assume your USB stick is OK since you seem to boot with it.
Then you selected languages in the installer, and that’s probably OK too.
Then go to the first slide where partitions are created and selected. Explain exactly what partitions and what mount points you plan to set. Don’t format anything yet.
Don’t go any further yet, because partitioning is the most essential part of the whole process.
