Primary screen freezing at random

Seems to be happening at random, whether gaming or just using the browser. Primary screen freezes, but i can still drag windows from it to the secondary screen. When i turn the frozen monitor off and on again, the secondary screen also freezes. (Log is from previous boot without the secondary screen freezing)

I’m not the greatest when it comes to nvidia drivers but noticed you use, I would try using first alternative kernel and if not working compare the errror message in WNE through console to try debug, ie look up the error and sort them by most recent (sorry I can not be of more help now and maybe someone else can write this more clearly) (have you tried under x11?)

Tried researching and a few fixes for similar issues, but none worked for me.

X11 seems to not freeze randomly, though it does freeze easily when doing multiple things, but thats a different issue.

I had a similar issue on plasma/wayland before installing my nvidia drivers with the “nvidia-inst” command.

I installed the drivers, rebooted and the problem was solved.

Hope it helps.

Did you find the issue? It is happening to me as well. Primary monitor freezes, but second monitor still works for a few seconds, then freeze after a while or when i try to do anything else.

I also reinstalled nvidia drivers with nvidia-inst, but still happening.

I’m having the same issue, it starts when I scroll over the brightness icon in the taskbar, right after I updated my system
