Prevent Partial Update

To be clear, your uname -r didn’t match immediately after an update but before rebooting? Because that would be normal.

uname -r returns 6.13.7-arch1-1 but when i run checkupdates it says linux 6.13.7.arch1-1->6.16.1.arch1-1
linux-headers 6.13.7.arch1-1->6.16.1.arch1-1

@dalto

Maybe you should update the system. Your running a older kernel.

In terminal just write yay

if it breaks i know what i can do,

and i use paru for AUR

I see

i use dracut now

So that explains why you downgraded the kernel ?

yes

did i do something wrong?

@MichelN

i,m going to reboot after runing yay

it did not nuke my /efi after runing yay (alias of paru)

There is nothing wrong with this.
It shows the current kernel and available upgrade for a newer version.

Yay is not an alias of paru unless you created that alias yourself for some reason.

i created a alias
