To be clear, your uname -r didn’t match immediately after an update but before rebooting? Because that would be normal.
uname -r returns 6.13.7-arch1-1 but when i run checkupdates it says linux 6.13.7.arch1-1->6.16.1.arch1-1
linux-headers 6.13.7.arch1-1->6.16.1.arch1-1
Maybe you should update the system. Your running a older kernel.
In terminal just write yay
if it breaks i know what i can do,
and i use paru for AUR

i,m going to reboot after runing yay
it did not nuke my /efi after runing yay (alias of paru)
There is nothing wrong with this.
It shows the current kernel and available upgrade for a newer version.
Yay is not an alias of paru unless you created that alias yourself for some reason.
