Preparation for using Fwupd

I used this: geteltorito.pl -o bios.img n2hur34w.iso and yeah just dd to put it on the usb and booted from the usb and followed the instructions. It worked fine, no issues.

Not sure really, I don’t think so. I don’t have that much installed really. vlc, simplenote, timeshift, google chrome, libreoffice. Obviously more but nothing special.

I think the cpu throttling issue is just related to this lenovo issue. Something to do with a powersaving mode I think which works correctly on windows but doesn’t work as it should on Linux. I think its when the laptop is on my lap not on the desk, the laptop realises this and the feature kicks in. Something like that anyway

Well at least you have the latest updated Bios/UEFI!

:ok_hand: Yep and I know how to update it in the future so when the fix comes I’ll get it.

It doesn’t really effect me, no glitching, stuttering or anything like that.

I came across this link a while back and thought it may help somebody if they used fwupd and their NVRAM entry got deleted. There’s a couple of commands in the first answer geared towards Ubuntu but MAYBE with a bit more research or tweaking of the command it could MAYBE lol again resolve the issue.
