Power Management Issue

Clean install of EOS KDE Plasma. I have my power management settings like this…

But after 5 minutes of idle system, it goes to login screen. Ideas?

Take a look in screen locking . Default is 5 min

THANKS!! Forgot all about that.

I think Screen Locking should be a choice under Power Management instead of it’s own singular setting, IMHO.

That’s right. That’s a bit confusing  Fortunately, you have the concentrated knowledge in the forum

That’s how mine is set and i don’t have an issue with it unless i go for coffee every 5 minutes.

I have set it to 30 minutes. I’m sitting at the PC and not at a laptop. Power management is useless for me

EDIT: It’s really annoying when the screen goes blank after 5 minutes of a video

30 minutes here as well. If I get distracted by TV, music, iPad or anything else, I don’t want to log in again every 5 minutes.

Oh … I didn’t realize when a video is playing it does that. I don’t seem to pay much attention to it. Sounds like it would be frustrating. It does happen to me too so i will also adjust mine to the same settings.

As soon as you move the mouse a little within the 5 minutes, everything is of course reset. I noticed this once when I was watching an exciting documentary and leaned back. I wondered why my screen was going black. Then I figured it out

Doesn’t playing a video block sleep :person_shrugging:
