Possible non critical issue while booting?

A very minor issue I noticed after rebooting post system update. The boot screen shows arch rather than endeavouros as it did in the past. Might be something that was left behind after the grub update?

Welcome onboard!

Try to (re)install eos-hooks.

Just tried it.
No change.

Did you reboot?

OK. Can you show the exact and full output where the problem exists?

I mean there isn’t really much to show.
It’s just that the grub load screen shows arch, linux rather than endeavouros, linux as it did before.

What shows:

cat /etc/default/grub | grep GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR

Nevermind it’s arch
I’m guessing I need to manually change that?

Afterwards regenerate grub.cfg:

sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Reboot and check.

Yes. It was changed from Arch to EndeavourOS before, but that was a part of the code we removed last year.

Ah that makes sense.
Is it unusual that it hadn’t changed for me before now?

Depends on grub updates. Maybe you received and update to file /etc/default/grub?

Don’t know about that.
But I did reinstall it a couple of months back when it broke for UEFI systems.
