The World Cup has been almost exclusively the only time I could find back some interest in watching football again. Most probably I would do so this year too but I don’t feel any joy or excitement about it for the reason you mentioned. Sad times, for putting it mildly.

we have a long tradition of Barça players, catalan or not, being injured by this national team. of course I’d like a Catalan national team at a world cup but at the end of the day I prefer the Barça players not playing for any other team
