No issues here at all.
Well I just started using it so I guess I wouldnât know, but a good thing to keep in mind for the next update, thanks.
Well I got it too!
Yep, I was right yesterday when I said about a day :0
Updated, but my external monitor stopped working on Wayland. Iâll have to debug this a bit more to say what happened, and it works great on built-in monitor. SDDM and X11 work, so itâs probably some Wayland bug.
I think this is one of the perks of using free software. The switch to wayland is somewhat pushed/encouraged (X login has been removed in some operating systems). And yet, it is still not quite as problem-free as x11. I recently connected my pc to my tv via hdmi. And once again, âwaylandâ caused issues when i had done it a hundred times, perfectly fine, on x11.
I understand that developers donât want to deal with an ancient code base (which is X) but the transition is quite painful.
I take âminor issues with Wayland from time to timeâ over whatever MS is currently doing 10 out of 10 times. Right now, I simply rolled back to my snapshot from 2 days ago in less than 2 minutes and Iâm back. ![]()
All good here. ![]()

This is hilarious
- When searching for âwinverâ it will now show the âAbout this Systemâ page in Plasma 6.6. Winver is used on Windows for the Microsoft Windows system version information. The merge argues:
âI thought that Windows power-users are very used to checking the system version by running the âwinverâ command on that operating system. To help their muscle memory, this new keyword is introduced to pull up system information when they enter that in the search bar.â
