Hi.
After creating the boot SD and booting I get the error “root account locked, cannot access console”. After hitting enter it returns to that message. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

I’ve never had that problem before.
the password for root account should be
alarm
can you try that.
Also try logging into alarm account if possible
user: alarm
pass: alarm
I can’t get to a console, so no login possible.
Then I would suggest burning the image to the storage device again and then try.
I’ve never seen this error before, so I don’t know how to approach it.
I’ve tested the image and it worked on my pinebook pro when I tried it
I don’t have the possibility to create a new image (lacking a x86_64 machine) so I tried the image-install-calamares.sh script from the git “https://github.com/endeavouros-arm/images” but there’s an syntax error in line 272 (DEVICESIZE=/1048576: syntax error: operator expected (“/1048576” is causing the error). I’m currently running vanilla Arch Linux.
I think that is happening because you have selected the incorrect storage device or the storage device itself is corrupted. We have had several instances when the problem was actually in the SD card.
The script is working fine on my side.
I’m running the script on a Raspberry Pi running EndeavourOS arm. I’m burning the image to a micro SD card connected using a microSD to USB connector.
Maybe @Pudge has a clue regarding the error.

can you post this output in english. I don’t understand german.
running the script with
LC_ALL=C
would output it in english
It’s working now without problems. Seems the German locale is messing up the script.

ahh, might be the case, probably @Pudge or @joekamprad should look into it.
I have no idea how to deal with it.
I’m trying to integrate the installer completely to calamares so it might not be an issue in the future ( but I don’t know when 
)
No problem. Maybe there should be a remark to use LC_ALL=C in the documentation as long as we don’t find the reason for this behaviour…
