Old photos, she’s in cat heaven now. the white fringes on her ears were black initially. Only in her last years did they get whiteish. With wisdom comes gray hair.

Skittles… she has passed on. She used to be by night time walking pal. She had a heart murmur and died from it some 5 years ago. She loved me as family which was more than i deserved. In my grief i now have 7 other cats taken in off the street.

Nice fur family! All rescues? One question, though - were you hungry for snacks when naming them? 
Or is just that if you open a snack - they come quickly?

A bit of both I think. They are all street rescues/ ferals except for snickers came to me from a cat herder that took him out of a shelter and delivered him to me. Truffle is still so fully feral I have yet to pet him after 3 years indoors. Not released from tnr because of missing teeth. All the other will let me pet. Truffles brother Skor I caught as a kitten and did the tnr thing but one day about a month later he followed snickers inside and hissed at me the whole time and for about the first year even though he followed snickers into the bed next to me. He jumps on my lap now for some petting. Truffle was a few years on the street before I trapped him so he might never trust but he gets along well with the others and he’d be dead if I didn’t keep him and even if I never pet him he’s still family to me.
Licorice and Necco are siblings. Skor and truffles are siblings. Skor truffles and gummis I think are all sired by Smoothing from different mothers/litters.
Licorice was a feral that followed me home and inside. Gummis and truffles and Neccos were trapped. Smoothie entered inside lured by food. Skor was trapped and released and followed snickers inside. Snickers was delivered to me.
Skittles I picked up from outside and brought home as a kitten. I tried hard to pick Skor and truffle out of a tree but they kept going further up away from me.
There was caramello who followed me home and adopted out. And at least 6 more that were tnr that I have never seen again. And many more that feed outside they have yet be trapped. Some if I see them at night know I will put out wet food if I see them and will come to within a few feet of me waiting for that can of wet pate

Good work. It is not easy settling down ferals! The 2 that I had were first feral, then rescued - then rescued from the rescue! (they had a 5 year old who didn’t get that cats need some space). They took time - but eventually one of them insisted on ‘helping’ on the computer, and TV watching, and sitting down and sleeping… Must have done it too well!
We’re going to have a split off a cats thread here if we don’t get back to pics soon, though! Imagine, a meme on EnOS!!
