PCSX2 fails to launch after a system update

Here’s the output of running pcsx2 in the terminal:

<pcsx2: error while loading shared libraries: libfmt.so.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory>

I have been using the Chaotic AUR package (pcsx2-git) for a while now and it was perfect, but after it started failing to even launch I tried the following:
Rebuilding, reinstalling and using both the pcsx2 / pcsx2-git from the AUR.

Welcome to the community!

You can report this to the AUR site (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/pcsx2).
Package fmt is now upgraded to version 12 and pcsx2 wants 11.

Done. Should I leave the post open until it’s resolved?

If you wish. But the forum will close threads after being idle for couple days.
