Panon Soundbar Not Detecting Audio Playback

EDIT: I am still making modifications to this post, hit enter and posted prematurely…

EndeavourOS fully up to date - Plasma 5.24.1, Frameworks 5.91, QT 5.15, Kernel 5.16.9
Panon widget version 0.4.6

Music be bumpin, but my soundbar not thumpin. There is a “debug” option within the Panon widget but I’m not sure what this actually does, or where any log files are that could be examined.

I had the soundbar working before migrating from Kubuntu → Endeavour (I’ve distro hopped a few times last couple months because (reasons)).

On “Back-End”, I’ve tried changing between PulseAudio and PortAudio, as well as changing input devices and frequency ranges but nothing seems to pick up the output devices for the visualizer.

The only thing I’ve noticed that “works” is if I have Portaudio selected and my microphones unmuted, and then it appears that Panon picks up the ambient noise that my microphones are picking up.

I’ve made sure all dependencies are installed:

qt5-websockets \
    python-docopt python-numpy python-pyaudio python-cffi python-websockets

And here is my lspci output:

Any ideas are greatly appreciated - Please let me know if there are any logs or further information for me to gather.

Bumping this - If anyone knows how to get the debug logs, or how that’s supposed to work in Panon, that may be useful too.

Bumping is considered rude. You did wait almost an entire day though. Post the output of inxi -FAZ --no-host | eos-sendlog

Solution/Workaround found - https://github.com/rbn42/panon/issues/78#issuecomment-1007282512

I’m not sure if Panon is still being actively developed, rbn42 has been inactive for some time. It looks like this is an issue with newer versions of Python, so eventually slower moving distros will likely also be affected.

I would have edited my original post rather than creating a new comment and bumping, but too much time has past. A mod can lock this and mark it as solved if desired.
