Bollocks, got COVID. Spent 10 hours in A&E on Monday, due to an abnormal (and harmless as it turns out) heart rhythm, brought on by an infection, and brought back a special gift!!
Now, considering I was my trust’s vaccine co-ordinator, all of the way through the pandemic, I didn’t catch it!
Feel like death warmed up and worse, have passed it to my partner, who is a lot worse than me (she went to the GP collaborative in the early hours, she was starting to get pneumonia, she counts as clinically vulnerable), so I haven’t slept much either.
Luckily, if that is the right word, was off work with the original infection, so haven’t passed it to anyone else (fingers crossed!).
Thanks everybody, been asleep all afternoon, I don’t feel brilliant, but have been worse (swine flu was a bitch!), my partner is quite poorly, got to pickup some antivirals in the morning.
Get well soon and all the best for your partner as well!
Maybe it’s time for me to get another shot. Haven’t had a refresher since my 4th shot back in March of '22.
Up so far, I have been lucky. I also count as clinically vulnerable.
And truth be told. My former boss showed up to work, while being under quarantine effectively. One of his sons contracted it. He didn’t said a word and tried to hide it. As his business would be at risk without him.
Long story short, that was just the final straw to hand in my letter of resignation.
