Garuda has very aggressive theming and it’s not as easy to bring it back to vanilla, with EndeavourOS it’s just a matter of changing the theme to Breeze and it’s done, which is fine by me.

Has anyone ever noticed that with the Vanilla Breeze Twilight theme, the accent color cannot be changed with for the folders in the application bar? Neither calculated from the background image, nor custom.

Not sure whether this will be available for Breeze Twilight in 5.27.
This is then a nice Vanilla Plasma, if you do not install the 3 mentioned (EndeavourOS-theming, eos-plasma-sddm-config, eos-settings-plasma), but the originality also destroys PipeWire, i.e. on the newly installed system only PulseAudio is active.
this should not be related … the eos packages does not change any related settings or package installs…
But if you have done a fresh KDE install just today it could be something related to the update to plasma 5.27 ?

I have pipewire running fine.
I did a fresh install yesterday on a test machine (still running Plasma 5.26) and excluded the 3 packages and only had PulseAudio running.
Ich habe gestern auf nem Testrechner eine Neuinstallation (noch mit Plasma 5.26) gemacht und die 3 Pakete ausgeschlossen und hatte nur PulseAudio am Laufen.
What happens if one uninstalls eos-plasma-sddm-config and eos-setttings-plasma on an installed eos kde system?
audio section has pipewire-pulse selected and critical, so if it would fail to install them it would stop install process.
pipewire-pulse depending on pipwire-audio what is depending on pipewire
If you do not have this unselected or even the complete common packages (base) group it should not be possible to not have pipewire installed.
uninstalling the settings package for kde would change nothing I bet as user and settings are set up already
It will indeed remove the EndeavourOS theme so if you are using it it will change back to default breeze theme…
… uninstalling sddm settings would leave you with a vanilla sddm…

Hmm…, very strange…, it also showed under inxi -A that PulseAudio alone was active… well, was an attempt to get rid of the black/purple disaster. Will have to do just to ignore it in the settings. OK, thanks.
i do prefer in Frappé καφές φραπέ but if you like vanilla themed tea ? why not
install log would tell must be something that went wrong or somehow you managed to unselect something…
or uninstall it … its a theme basically…

Can not deliver, is already uninstalled and the laptop I returned today.
