If you press shift+k
(= hide/show kernel threads) in htop, can you find more information about cpu usage?
edit: gotta add that im on LTS kernel, and seems it doesnt matter how many apps i open/kill, second one is always above +80 and others are normal, like 30-40%
In the screenshot Discord uses a lot of cpu. If you close it, another process will start consuming cpu?
yeah cuz i was screensharing in discord
how it looks like after i closed discord and chrome :
output of watch -n.5 cat /proc/interrupts
:
does this help?
i think 16: is what making the difference!
If you try enter: lspci -nnkv
and look for IRQ 16
?
Edit:
Is it your touchpad? I must hit to bed.
i think you mean ths right?

Its audio device?
idk if its my audio or smth else
noticed one thing, when i switch to nvidia (using optimus) load goes on core0 (instead of core1 like you saw in screenshots)
i must. Letās hope someone will help from now on.
ok have a good night
thanks for helping <3
only a bet in the darkā¦ could you try booting ISO-USB with default boot option? to see if without using Nvidia driver it does the same?
And next time simply linking the forum post in chat and tagging me would be good to goā¦
Yeah it was the same
About second part yeah tou right, my bad
I skipped reading.
The question:
Only Core 1 always high usage? Not other core 0, 2 or 3?
If yes, it would like the defective core to me.
If no, maybe integration GPU not working and gives a core that works alone
idk why and how, but i switched back to latest kernel and problem solved !!!
iāll wait 1-2 more days and mark as solved if everything were ok!
its resolved out of nowhere but,
when im on iGPU, its core 1 and when im on dGPU, its core0
so its not a defective core i assume
just an update
i logged out and logged in again, problem came back -___-
i can confirm that rmmod intel_lpss_pci
solved problem completely !!
thanks everyone involved in helping me
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1550741
looks very similar.
But nice to see its solvedā¦ i know that such issues are very annoying.
Remembering this happens a lot more often in the past but very rare luckily nowadays.
It doesnāt seem final to me.
If you are sure this is your solution, you need to blacklist the module, to be completely solved .
