Me and my wife were tired of Microsoft Windows and decided to move over to Linux 2 years ago.
We started with Ubuntu (KDE Version), but moved over to Manjaro last year… for obvious reasons…
Now it was time to get my device reinstalled and i am a fan of trying new/different things.
Endeavour seem to be my new favorite OS and i will move my wifes install to it some day later.
We are both fans of refurbished devices, I am working on a HP ZBook with 32 GB RAM and a HP Elite 1012 X2 hybrid-tablet while my wife got an Elitebook 830 G6 some months ago.
All devices stalled while using Windows, but they are rocket fast with Linux.
More than happy to make that move!
Beside that i do have a Proxmox installation which works to run backups of my local cloud, smart home control center, weather station and some other more or less uninmportant stuff.
Beside that i am 62 years old, working in IT for 30 years now and nobody is too old to not learn new things.
Although there’s a really generational gap after about my age (30s) People younger than me mostly just type with their thumbs and don’t care about anything but ticktock and being a professional Call of Duty player.
Yes I’m stereotyping.
Also, I’m already very aware I’m not Politically Correct, your judgement won’t help.
No not yet, but let me give you my phone number to give to her! Don’t worry, I’m only a creep every second Friday. You know, Job , wife , kids , bills …
