For what its worth: Its actually not anywhere mentioned in the first link you sent that bumblebee is deprecated or not advised to use
Looks like they only recommend for older laptops. I can just say, avoid bumblebee, then rather use nouveau driver.
Just looking at the bumblebee project page, the last update was 2013?
It is mentioned somewhere? But i can’t remember exactly where i see it.
Arch wiki says performance issues. Package in the repo was updated in 2020.
If thats this commit, then its just a typo fix in the doc
