I am getting more annoyed by updating my system with each passing day.
Ever since the Nvidia 570.x drivers it has been a shitshow with my system. After every eos-update, or pacman -Syu I have to rollback my Nvidia-Drivers to a 55x.x Version in order for them to be recognized again.
I am running a RTX 3080 GPU with no dual-booting windows or hybrid-graphicscard in my Desktop-PC. Still I cant seem to get it to work right.
I want to run on wayland and have set both the modeset and fbdev Kernel-Parameters in the /etc/kernel/cmdline file, before rebuilding it using reinstall-kernels.
And now my GPU seems to work with the new 580 drivers, but my perfomance is terrible and my right monitor cant be rotated anymore.
Would someone have the pity to help me with my problem?
I wouldnt mind a Discord-Call or anything. I just want my PC to work again.
Or does anyone else experience these problems aswell?
TLDR: Driver needs to be manually downloaded, after each update. Random Version work and dont work. Kernel-Parameters are set, according to the Arch-Wiki, and everything “should” be working
I can also confirm that I have not had any issues considering 3060. Granted, I currently have different distro, but never have had any issues considering Nvidia driver updates, was it EOS or something else.
