Google Chrome and Konqueror… yup the issue is the same in the KDE flavour as in the XFCE.

Your VirtualBox is installed on which system ?

Currently MacOS Catalina (10.15.2), VBox 6.0.15.

Why you don’t use the latest version 6.1.2 ?
Take care with Catalina it seems to erase VMs on update, so save them in safe place before to update VirtualBox.

Yet, you are correct… https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Changelog-6.1#v2 So I might as well give that a shot. Thank you!

Warning re. Catalina well taken… that OS is pretty annoying in so many ways. The way Apple is heading is the reason I am transitioning back to Linux “full-time”. The whole LFS thing is just a way to get back into it.

Don’t forget to install the VirtualBox 6.1.2 Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack with, it has to be the same version if you want it to work.

About your update that doesn’t work, it’s maybe cause software virtualization has been discontinued in 6.1 vs 6.0 then it asks a full install !

It seems that lot of users on Catalina got problems to install it, some of them used Homebrew to get it work… try first the normal way then let us know.

To deal with the security stuff on Catalina :
