Lenovo i7 laptop and sound was working fine, then stopped recently. I am not sure exactly when because I often don’t use sound.
Status:
Sound works for a few seconds after boot then stops.
I can see the sound responding but nothing comes out.
I tried headphones with the same result.
I decided to install pulse to replace pipewire, which did not resolve the issue. I reinstalled pipewire and now headphones work.
Speaker still do not work.
How to I solve this?

What kernel are you using?
Have you given the linux-lts
kernel a go, to see if it might be an issue specific to the mainline kernel?

Which sound server are you using ? - Pipewire or Pulseaudio ?
Is the sound volume set to 100% in ALSA ?
I am running basically a new EndeavorOS install. I would not even know how to change kernels.
Does this show enough information?
I turned volume up everywhere i could.
Simply install the packages linux-lts
and linux-lts-headers
the reboot and select the lts kernel from the options presented.

You should also install base-devel
and pacman-contrib
.
The Same Problem. Clear Install latest version no sound. Huawei Mate 16S. I tried lts kernel. No result
Three different systems and they could all have different hardware for audio.
I am at a loss. When I reboot sound will work for a few minutes then just stop and go silent.
There was a pipewire update yesterday or day before I think? Whoa nope, back last week…
