I just installed EndeavourOS and I installed nvidia drivers and after that I had no sound, I have KDE Plasma I tried adjusting sound in System Settings Sound, that didn’t work. So I started searching, I tried speaker-test -c 6 and that worked, I tried alsamixer and chose the default playback device there. That didn’t work either.
I tried using the Welcome App and Logs for troubleshooting, I clicked share but it didn’t give me a link to post here. I think it was sent to you though I had Arch Linux before but it was a total pain in the hiney to get right. So I thought I’d try EndeavourOS with KDE Plasma, I did mostly default installation procedures.
When I had Arch Linux everything I searched said not to use Wayland, but that was 2 years ago, so I used X11 then. I never had any audio problems, I did install ufw, and thought I uninstalled it correctly but maybe I messed up my systemctl stuff?
I really hate Windows 11, but I am primarily a gamer. I had everything working 2 years ago, but this is a different computer from then. Any idea if I could reset the audio somehow? Or when I installed Nvidia drivers did it mess up my audio somehow?
Thanks in advance for any help. Did I choose the wrong desktop enviroment? Is KDE Plasma not a good choice?
