There’s only two companies left. Who do you support if not micron?
Can’t support Micron anyway if they aren’t selling consumer product. But I’ve never bought Micron consumer products in my life. There is samsung, nanya, hynix. I’m not sure who every company supplies but these are the brands I usually buy Kingston (HyperX), Corsair (Vengeance, Dominator), and G.Skill. Some of these may have memory from Micron? I don’t know.
Then you’ve missed out on some great RAM and SSDs. Micron/Crucial is all I use these days.
I’m just saying I’ve never intentionally purchased the Micron brand. Sure they may have supplied memory to Kingston and others but I never intentionally sought out Micron products.
Oh well, I mean as long as you didn’t intentionally do it, then you definitely didn’t support them.

Hopefully new plants will fix the problem. Otherwise why should they lower the price when everyone is paying.
I have a couple of 16G DDR4 sticks in my setup. I wonder now that they are going to remove the line will its value increase even more?

I’ve got several spare sets of ram. I’m about to add them to my will and put them in a safety deposit box. My computer will be worth more than my truck at this rate.

The Raspberry Pi retailers are getting in on the act.
The suggested retail price for a RPi 5 with 16 GB RAM is $120 USD.
Canakit dot com has been selling the RPi 5 16 GB for the suggested retail price since it became available. Today canakit is selling the RPi 5 16 GB for $145 USD.
I am sure Raspberry Pi sources the components needed for assembly way in advance. So it looks like Canakit is gouging it’s customers. And they aren’t alone. Microcenter dot com was selling the RPi 5 16 GB for $99.99 USD a twenty dollar discount. Now it’s $139.99 USD in store only.

The problem is when they think its worth more they are going to charge it. When one pay’s it the raise in price paid off.
