Hi, im simply confused. After updating BIOS i am unable to boot.
It doesnt matter which key i press, nothing goes on.

Looks like you swapped the CPU, if youāre sure that N or Y does nothing, try reflashing your BIOS/UEFI. Or press DEL to disable the TPM.
Two things come to mind
- You are using a wireless keyboard that is not recognized by the bios at this point, if so try a corded keyboard.
- If a BIOS gets flashed it will revert to the default settings, ignoring any changes you might have made to the BIOS.
Ok, I am back. I have to reset the complete BIOS via clm_cmos according to Gigabyte.

I hope you donāt have bitlocker enabled before you updated bios? if so then you have a problem as bitlocker keys stored in tpm are lost

I have rebooted and booted several times now. I am safe and back 
I hadnāt even thought about resetting the BIOS anymore. Luckily i came across over the new AMD-TPM Settings with the new BIOS from Gigabyte.

I am running a Keychron but always with usb-cable.
Uefi (Bios) firmware ā¦ what ever you want to call it does get corrupted sometimes and needs to be cleared. Usually a new bios flash does set it to the default settings in the new bios that was flashed. I sometimes reset the bios after the flashing. In most cases now newer motherboards automatically reboot when completed the flashing process. I think that secure boot and fTPM cause issues sometimes when it reboots.
The message āfTPM/PSP NV corruptedā means your motherboard detected a new processor and its security memory chip needs to be reset to match the new hardware. I think this is where the corruption happens with the security memory chip. But Iām not an expert on this. Just my hunch.
In almost 35 years of flashing Bios Iāve never ever had a failed flashing. I guess Iāve been fortunate with that and the power never went out whilst doing it.
Thatās exactly what happened. I looked into it on the Gigabyte website, and as I said, a new setting for AMD_TPM had been implemented. I just didnāt know what that message meant. Had something gone wrong during the flash? Had I installed the wrong firmware? I was a little overwhelmed for a moment. Luckily, I managed to get everything working again.

Edit: I have probably done 24 UEFI (Bios) updates on both my B550 and X570 MSI Motherboards currently without issue.
Exactly, and I didnāt pay attention to that. I just wanted to update the BIOS from F18g (Mar 11, 2025) to F20c (Aug 18, 2026)āthe latest version. So I just downloaded 20c, and after flashing it, I wondered why nothing was working anymore 
That was actually the first time an error occurred. Maybe it wasnāt even a big deal. In any case, after the second or third boot, I noticed that the keyboard was set to the American layout in that mode. In the German layout, āyā is āz,ā and in the American layout, āzā is āy.ā Maybe thatās where the error was. Anyway, I reset everything and cleaned the inside of the caseāit was already open anyway. So everythingās taken care of, all for the best.
You can always read the info for the UEFI Bios update to see what the update references. Sometimes itās the AMD AGESA only and or sometimes itās more with security updates etc. It depends on the processors the motherboard supports.

Iāve never had a Gigabyte Motherboard but was next on my list until things got WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. Iāve used and built so many of my own desktops over the years and this is one product i havenāt used along with many others. I can say that I do really like the MSI motherboards based on my own experiences with flashing new UEFI Bios. They seem to keep on top of it and put out new updates a lot. They always work and Iāve not had any issues with their updates. Some motherboard manufacturers are terrible with their UEFI Bios updates.
Like I said, I wouldnāt have had any problems if Iād pressed āzā instead of āy.ā Back then, I think it was 2 or 3 years ago, this motherboard cost exactly ā¬98. Itās perfectly adequate for my needs. Itās ājustā a B550, after all. But BIOS updates come out relatively quickly. Check it out here on the Gigabyte website.

I had a choice between MSI and Gigabyte. For some reason, I went with Gigabyte. Maybe my next one will be an MSI. In the end, theyāre pretty much the same.
