New yay out! Updated to v11.3.0

You can use command

eos-rankmirrors -n

to see which mirrors already have it.
Note that the update-level column should have value 1569 for all up-to-date mirrors.

Edit file /etc/pacman.d/endeavouros-mirrorlist. First mirror line will be searched first.

Here’s the ranking result I get:

That worked instantly. I tried updating mirrors and also adding Germany as i usually only use US and Canada but that didn’t help.

Edit: The alpix mirror is listed lower in my mirror list for ranking.

I don’t think it uses ALL the mirrors, I think it just uses the first available one that works?

I think @Scotty_Trees was blocking me.

Note that mirror ranking shows only the current situation of mirrors.
Some mirrors get the latest packages sooner than others.
That’s why it is interesting to see the update-level in addition to the speed of the mirror.

For me it’s listing it as the fifth mirror in the list.

i got the update for yay here but unfornatelly i cannot update my system yet, there’s an update for kernel 5.19 and looks like there isn’t a patch for kernel 5.19 from nvidia-340xx drivers

yay is also updated in the ARM armv7h and aarch64 repos.

That’s because for your location it is the fifth fastest of the up to date mirrors.
Note that you can, e.g. temporarily, edit the endeavouros-mirrorlist manually.

Edit: top tip: you might want to edit file /etc/eos-rankmirrors.conf and assign your favorite EndeavourOS repo mirror(s) to be in top always. Simply assign a value to variable

ALWAYS_FIRST_EOS_MIRRORS='alpix' # sets Alpix as first in the ranking result

and then run eos-rankmirrors without options.

I’m still showing 11.2 in the US mirrors, should it be taking this long? I literally just ran reflector and did an update check too. pacseek and pacman are still showing the latest yay as 11.2.0-1

Looks like https://ca.gate.endeavouros.com is the only mirror not yet updated…
As a workaround, please use another mirror.
I’ll what we can do if anything.

Just had to use this workaround to update it

Same. The repo is so small file size wise that any mirror I use, either in Canada or the EU is still pretty quick, so I’m just gonna leave the Alpix mirror as my main one for now since that one seems to update a bit faster than some of the others.

Indeed. It’s the Tier 0 mirror.

FYI this mirror still isn’t updated, not sure what’s going on.

The eos-rankmirrors -n command shows every single EndeavourOS mirror is up to date, except the one in Canada. I don’t know what’s going on with that mirror though. The easiest solution it to change your mirror priority like the suggestions mentioned above in this thread. I changed my own mirror priority from Canada to the Alpix one because the EndeavourOS repo list is so small, it really doesn’t matter where in the world I pull it from, and the Alpix one seems like it’s the quickest repo to get fresh updates.

This is kind of like one of those “manual intervention” moments Arch always talks about. It might just be quicker to change your mirrors than wait for the Canadian mirror update.

yeah, I did that, I just figured you might want a heads up that it was still running behind.
