GCC 11 introduces a number of new options, including x86_64-v2
, x86_64-v3
, and x86_64-v4
microarchitectures.
This led to Arch introducing an RFC to add multiple architecture support to the repos so people with newer CPUs can benefit from optimised packages.
That change also opens the way for ARM CPU support within Arch too, so things are looking interesting.
