Hello,
With skrooge (2.32), negative numbers are surrounded by parentheses.
How do I get the ‘-’ sign instead?
I searched in the settings of Plasma and Skrooge but couldn’t find anything.
I would add that with another software like Homebank, I don’t have this behavior.
Thank you in advance
Salut @froux07 ,
I suspect the origin of this is in an imported CSV file from LibreOffice or a similar package where
Format Cells Number were set like this
or so. P.S. I can’t reproduce the brackets.
Edit: I installed Plasma in en_US with HU keyboard and what is brings with.
Then changed system language to French.
Negative transactions are in red with minus signs in Skrooge.
Hello @eso ,
That might have been a good idea. But the skrooge file comes from an integration of a kmymoney file, made from a Debian.
And under Debian Plasma, no problem with parentheses with negative numbers.
I created a new file under Skrooge, and the negative numbers also appear with brackets.
And yet I’ve checked the locale settings in EndeavourOS several times.
Anyway, thanks for the idea.
I’m making progress with my investigations.
I have tested on several platforms:
Arch system (EOS, Manjaro, CachyOS): negative numbers are surrounded by brackets
Opensuse: negative numbers have a ‘-’ sign in front of them.
Debian, MXLinux: same as opensuse
A package must be missing. In any case, on Arch system, the library system is not represented like Debian …
Example: libkf5i18n exists on Debian, Opensuse, but not on Arch system.
For the time being, I think I’ll stick with Debian. Too bad, I was beginning to like the Arch architecture.
