to preface this, i want you guys to know that my laptop is pretty weird:
- it doesnt have a cmos battery (idk how, one time i went to a repairman to get it opened up we noticed there wasn’t anything close to a cmos battery)
- when battery gets drained (0%) for some reason HP bios gets reset. meaning any changes i made to the bios (like fans always on, secureboot off) gets reverted back to default. also a few other weird things like boot device not found
- finally my system time gets messed up.
on to the problem, so yesterday, i made a mistake of falling asleep and letting my laptop get drained. so i plugged it in, booted to bios, made the changes and it’s back. here’s a screenshot of my panel
the time is incorrect (from where i am) but the date is fine.
at first i was looking for a gui option to fix/adjust time settings but to my disappointment there was none.
here i am, asking for your help on ways how to fix time and date settings, preferrably a nice gui option at first cause i went to the arch wiki and i couldnt understand some things yet.
EDIT: timzone and dates are correct, it’s just the actual time that is incorrect and i was wondering if there’s anyway to change the time without affecting timezones.
