The Uxplay GitHub explains that Uxplay needs the port 5353 opened for Uxplay to work.
But also it needs
“also open three UDP and three TCP ports for Uxplay”
So I did add 5353 UDP in my trusted ports, but I do not know if I need to do more than that for the 5353 port specifically since the GitHub calls for specifically ports for mDNS/DNS-SD queries
but it also calls for 3 additional port to be opened! See second screenshot!
So I added them as you can see in the 3rd screenshot it did not make a difference tho! Any idea on what I could do to fix this (that doesn’t include uninstalling firewalld)
looks like you have set permanent but adding ports to trusted what is not used?
looks like public is still used.
I would try to set default to home (in case you are at a save local network environment) with this mdns (local hostname resolution) would be open already.
options > change connection Zone > “network device in use” and change it to default to home…
First up, thank you for your really quick reply (this community is great)
Setting my connection to home does not work but setting it to trusted does, I’m not sure if keeping it in trusted is a good idea in the long run tho!
could be the case that you add the Ports to trusted and not again to Home Zone settings mask?
Hi, Im running into the same problem. any chance you fixed it? (other than setting the default to trusted)
yeah you need to the ips to the zone ur system is set to right now (or put ur whole system into trusted mode, woundnt recommend)
