After using wifi for a while my laptop keeps getting disconnected then reconnected and again disconnected. This doesn’t happen with other devices that are connected to the same wifi.

You could try some of these options in:
/etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf
options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1 bt_coex_active=0 power_save=0 auto_agg=0 swcrypto=1
One or more of these options may solve your issue.

I don’t have iwlwifi.conf. I just have default.conf wich is empty and a default.conf.save which only have options snd_hda_intel index=1.
You would have to create the file /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf and add the options.
