This is what is shows
Hey, great suggestions. Unfortunately, this didnât work. I created a file ```
/etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf
Hey, itâs the wifi. I donât have an ethernet cable connected. And with the same internet configuration on Windows, i am averaging 230mb/s downloads and 200ish uploads.
For better readability/visibility, please post the terminal output as text and not screenshots.
It would make it easier for the helpers to copy and quote on the output and also it would be searchable by forumâs search function.
Copy, paste, highlight and pres Ctrl-E to format.
@odlund :
What does the journal say? Which firmware is loaded etc.
Please share the output of the command âjournalctl -b | grep -E "iwd|iwlwifi
â
Also please share output of
ifconfig
and
netstat -r
Try adding this also to the
/etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf
Add
11n_disable=8
Edit: You could also try disable bluetooth coexist by also adding.
iwlwifi bt_coex_active=0
Edit: You could also try the latest firmware.

@odlund
Do you actually have an AX capable WiFi 6 router? Otherwise it will be running on the AC standard or whatever your router supports.
Hey, this is what the command yields:

Hey, thank you for your support.
yes, my router supports wifi 6.
This seems to be the latest firmware:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/commit/
how would i go about installing it?
If you look at the information that intel provides for that chip AX210.
626913_Intel_Wi-Fi_6E_AX210_Typhoon_Peak_2_Product_Brief_v1_2.pdf (178.9 KB)
Then here is the info from Linux Wireless.
https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers/iwlwifi#firmware
Edit currently it seems to be using this firmware version if i have this correct?
74.fe17486e.0 ty-a0-gf-a0-74.ucode op_mode iwlmvm
Edit: Also please look at the Arch Wiki.
Maybe try other kernel parameters listed.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Network_configuration/Wireless#iwlwifi
Hey, i installed the necessary drivers. added to the config, yet nothing has worked. Thank you for responding to my post up until this point. I think I just have to buy a new network card, really wished something else wouldâve worked though.
You could try disabling AX mode to see if itâs faster by adding options iwlwifi disable_11ax=1
to
/etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf
Since nobody mentioned it⌠It sounds like OP is dual booting Windows. If that is the case, is Windows fully shutdown, hibernation, fast start and hybrid sleep all disabled?
@odlund
Forgot to ask if you have the Fast Startup Feature in Windows disabled under power management.
