Mouse "enabled" (in KDE) although there is none attached

Hi,
weird thing after a fresh install from EOS Mercury ISO:

Device is a Minisforum V3 Tablet with attached Keyboard & Touchpad.

The system reports a Mouse attached although there is none. During boot I see this

[jens@MV3 ~]$ sudo dmesg | grep -i mouse

and KDE control panel reports a mouse as available. And then disables the touchpad. (yes, this behavior can be turned off but that’s not the point)

I rebooted into the EOS LiveCD again and there is no mouse.

Any ideas why this happens and how to prevent it?

I had a EOS install on the same device before and back then it would behave like the LiveCD: no mouse

thanks

Well as far as I can see the mouse seems to be a keyboard mouse (whatever that is).

input: USB Keyboard Mouse

There might be some driver needed to activate the “keyboard mouse” that isn’t present when running the live cd.
Without knowing what keyboard it is exactly it will be hard to tell what is going on.

Yeh, it is the touchpad on the keyboard (I have one too).
