Playing a game or watching a video without keyboard or mouse movement will result in screen dim/off based on power profile.
I’ve looked around and it would appear this has been an issue for a while but no other fix than disabling in power settings?
I don’t have VRR mode on my install
I’ve got a Dell 9530 Intel/Nvidia - latest Endeavor and Nvidia drivers installed via pacman
One of the apps I use has a feature to disable screen saver, but that setting is not working.

In the system tray, click on the display configuration entry and you should see a toggle button for presentation mode.

Would be nice to not have to turn it on and off though (hate to say it, but like on that other operating system)
I use the gnome desktop with the caffeine extension and do not have to do that. I used to use plasma but switched this was one of the reasons
I read about that extension. I might poke around on the KDE forum and see what the deal is.
Something about gnome rubs me the wrong way, but even they need some extension to make it work. Hrmph 
I wish there was a “presentation mode” switcher for Cinnamon. Anyone aware of such?
Haven’t used Cinnamon in many years, sorry.
I turned presentation mode on and off (KDE plasma) and now the machine did not do the configured dim/sleep after 2 hours.
Can’t trust how it is behaving unfortunately.
