I understand that. I thought you meant you could run the executable files from Linux? My bad!
Edit: I play it safe and run it from Windows since it still has Windows on both my HP and Lenovo.
My Dell XPS 9380 has a Bios Flash Tool that can be chosen from the one-shot boot menu. I just then point it to the .exe file stored on a “normal” USB.
On a Lenovo laptop, not supported by fwupd, I have been using Hirens Boot CD.

That’s what i would likely do also if i didn’t have Windows still on it. It’s a safer bet since i am familiar with the process.
Edit: I’ll have to check my boot window also since now you mentioned it one or the other might also have that option.
