Linux Torvalds Speaks on Linux Hardware SECURITY Issues

Off topic warning.
I don’t watch videos (I just don’t and it’s atypical I watched a bit of this one), but I haven’t seen Linus (not Linux) in person since 2000, but like all of us, he’s getting older. His accent continues to mellow also (like almost disappear). Very interesting…the changes time makes.

If you don’t mind answering, why? I personally can’t really live without YouTube. I’ve learnt a lot during the years.

I have always hated to watch videos, just can’t stand them. I flee in 30 seconds or less, typically. Give me a book instead

@pebcak please accept my apology for the rolled eyes. I meant to put heart and it’s too late for me to change it. I plead innocent: early and uncaffeinated.

the heart because he has a high profile and this crap really needs to be addressed. instead it seems the firmware holes increase with the newer hardware.
The Verizon guy (interviewer–I don’t know context) is a jabberwocky but Pauling was to the point about how LAX we are about this year after year. He has little faith in Risc at the moment but thinks it has a chance to be a big platform.

I was told for years there would be an open source hardware revolution and I’ve been waiting, and losing faith after watching this

@dbarronoss yeah, accent almost gone, I noticed too
