So, along last year when Cachy started using limine as a bootloader, I got onboard, because I just like trying new things.
However, I am really liking how it is much cleaner and simpler than any of the other bootloaders. Probably everyone knows how flaky and temperamental editing grub config files are. I don’t typically need to edit the limine.conf, but I have..and it’s easy, readable, and doesn’t require any form of digestion after editing to be in effect.
This morning I added (by using easy to use utility, limine-scan) stanzas for booting other distros. This just saves me from failing to explicitly use the BIOS to choose what I wanted to boot, for those times when i forget and let the default boot happen. Every single one of them worked, which beats my trial-and-error on chaining bootloaders on most others.
I would heartily suggest folks try it.
