Libreoffice-fresh-7.4.3-3 is up to date but /var/lib/pacman/local/libreoffice-fresh-7.4.3-3/desc: missing

Yes, for the most part. I have nagging non-updates I think due to the fact the projects are no longer update:

I’m not sure if that would be part of the problem. I tried manually updating them one by one but to no success.

You could remove all cached packages whether installed or uninstalled with

sudo pacman -Scc

Also which version of libreoffice are you trying to install? There is libreoffice-fresh and libreoffice-still

Edit: Sorry i see above libreoffice-fresh. :man_facepalming:

I’m ready to try still

That didn’t work either.

I checked and the /var/lib/pacman/local/libreoffice-fresh-7.4.3-3/ no longer exists.

Well like @pebcak say’s you need to run the install for libreoffice-fresh and post the output.

Can you give me the prompt on how to do this using privatebin or pastebin? Sorry, I’m not finding it. Thanks

I’m not sure what will happen if it fails whether it will post the output?

sudo pacman -S libreoffice-fresh | eos-sendlog

Edit: Should provide a link.

Darn, I remember the pipe sign but I couldn’t make out the where to send it with :frowning:

https://0x0.st/onf1.txt

I can’t paste it all ikn here.

Thanks

I think if it were me i would delete the folder libreoffice with all files in /usr/lib

How about

sudo pacman -S libreoffice-fresh --overwrite '*'

Bold, I was going to suggest that but thought it would be bad. Doing it now. I have to remove the files one by one using the terminal. I don’t think there is a way to remove an entire directory. Not sure if this is a safety thing or I don’t know.

Thanks

Better to try what @manuel posted above.

Thanks Manuel,

It says: “option ‘–overwrite’ requires an argument”

Please copy the full line.

LOL!

Manuel gets the gold star today! It worked. :vulcan_salute:

Thank you everyone for your kind help!

You should be marking post #29 as the solution not your own post.
