Let's have a drink together! What's in your glass today?

Was shocked how good the Guinness was when I’ve traveled in Ireland. In France they taste like water, even in good reputed pubs.

Guinness is my drop, it’s a dream to try it in Ireland itself. I have Irish and Kiwi friends who have had many a pint in Ireland who have said the Guinness brewed here in NZ is pretty close to the real thing, then I know many who say it’s crap.

I can’t comment further than I love the Guinness I buy that is brewed in NZ, so I can only imagine how good the real thing is.

Sapporo Beer used to have a small chain of Irish pubs in Tokyo, now they’re down to one pub!

They used to brew Guinness here under contract but now have to buy it from Kirin since they lost the contract!

Sapporo make reasonably good beer but their management is stuck in the Edo period way of thinking!

Back in the day you could either buy Guinness from Sapporo or get it a little cheaper on the grey market, imported!

It was a p**s-warm quart at the store, in freezer now.
Patience.

[am I the only one who buys quarts?]

Kirin lager at an event in a local park. Many food trucks to choose from but I’d already eaten Thai food!

A glass of Iron Maidens Trooper ale. I like it. A lot.

Tokyo Ireland Festival this weekend! I went along yesterday (Sat) because of rain today. I’m sure the annual parade will be cancelled! One of my favourite breweries made a couple of specials! A hoppy Golden Ale and a Red Ale.
