Yer specials are dangerous
Glad it’s Saturday.
Now don’t scare me like that, I just had to check
I’m retired. Everyday is Saturday. ![]()
One healthy snack to slow down my deteriorating eyesight, as you can tell from the quick photo taken with my mobile, often of times I can’t really tell if the shot is in focus or not. The screen of my dated iPhone SE (1st Gen.) is simply too small, as I like my daily carries to be compact.
And as I finally got to start my spring cleaning, I’m going to reward myself with a bottle of Flensburger Radler. I’ve cleared out empty packaging of the purchases I’ve made in the last years as well as the other not used shipping cartons.
In the past I was pretty active on eBay selling stuff and at my former job, we were always short on package material. You don’t want to know how much unused packaging material can pile up in a few months. And it’s not that easy to get rid of that hoarder habit. Now I’m down to the empty boxes of products I’m most likely going to sell or that I’ll need in case of send-in repairs (e.g. curved monitor). Threw out all the boxes of the purchases I’ll definitely keep until they’re broken.
the beer looks great. the casserole dish full of carrot peels, on the other hand ![]()
I am proud of my perfect rating as a buyer. I love Ebay. When sellers pack it like they are sending it to themselves, it’s a treat,. Hoard on ![]()
Definitely, but there is no reason for me to hoard. Even if it may have a second use as package material, I haven’t shipped anything in the last two years or so ? Therefore, no use, just occupied space. And having that space back is much appreciated. Therefore, no more hoarding cardboard and shipping bags for me.
My sig other is more hippy-ish than I but practices the Chinese dealio of ‘Feng Shui’, which, at its core, is the conscious act of decluttering the f*** out of your life–like you are doing—and parting with every meaningless trinket in your life that has dust on it or you do not use or look at. It’s supposed to free up pathways/energy etc etc. I believe it. For instance, if I find a nice shirt at a thrift store, I will get rid of in my closet the worst shirt I have. Balance. Not surplus. She’s 10X smarter than me about that stuff. But if feels good to have the dead-weight gone. Rock on.
Still…what the he** are you eating in that pic?
Just a sliced carrot salad, I was pretty lazy in terms of meal prep and kept it rather simple. As they they say, an egg and a apple a day, keeps the doctor way. But sadly, carrots and optometrists doesn’t rhyme that well.
I thought this said cheeseburger on the bottle at first glance ![]()
Guess I should do some shopping
Just polished this off, got it gifted last night by a cousin. Wouldn’t buy it myself but wasn’t the worst thing as you can tell by the empty bottle.
compared to the gold standard (guiness) in your opinion?
stout was always a 3-course meal to me, i.e. one went a looooong way
Guinness here isn’t that good! Kirin make it in their Malaysian brewery for the Japanese market. The recipe they use is not the same as real Guinness. It’s brewed by accountants!
