But I think over and over that less is more
I’ve got a barebone EOS with SWAY starting with around 450kb of memory used
but what could I remove yet?
I use it just for internet, firefox and chrome

Get rid of the graphical session, and stick to TTY. You can use a text-based browser, like Lynx and wget to download stuff.
