I was installing a bspwm rice install but it failed so i did it again but with a different one and it too failed so i tried to reboot, after getting to sddm i was not able to use my keyboard or mouse. i chrooted into it with debian and installed many drivers like libinput, etc but no use so i removed sddm and installed lightdm, thinking it was a dm issue but it is still persistent. note that i can use my keyboard in grub but not during boot because i cannot press esc to remove plymouth. ctrl alt f3 to switch to another tty does not work. link of the rice i was trying to install https://github.com/raexera/tokyo and https://github.com/syndrizzle/hotfiles/tree/bspwm?tab=readme-ov-file#installation
I’m not sure I quite follow the details of what you’ve done, or you’re doing there, so I’m just going to focus on USB support at post, which I assume is the issue.
In your BIOS / UEFI, ensure you have “Legacy USB support” (or something similar) enabled.
sorry if you are unable to understand but heres a summary
So i wanted to rice my bspwm setup with some dotfiles available online. [links given]
i followed the arch install instructions which installed some programs but during midway of install it failed so i retried but it kept failing
then i removed whatever was installed and rebooted
after reboot, my laptop keyboard and mouse don’t work [and external one too] its not a bios problem
Are you using Arch Linux or EndeavourOS?
