Hi,
I just gave kernel 6.10.0 a try. I did a cryptsetup benchmark and compared it with kernel 6.6.25 and 6.8.4 on my AMD Ryzen 9 5900X . The results are really good for LUKS users like me:
kernel 6.6 and 6.8 are basically the same:
# Algorithm | Key | Encryption | Decryption
aes-xts 512b 3177,1 MiB/s 3152,4 MiB/s
But kernel 6.10.0 does:
# Algorithm | Key | Encryption | Decryption
aes-xts 512b 4728,5 MiB/s 4730,8 MiB/s
This is almost 50 % increase in performance for things like LUKS.
I love it!
