KDE remote controle request stucks

Since a few weeks i have a problem with the remote control request. Every time i use auto-type with KeepassXC i got a remote control request window. I use wayland with KDE. If i click on ‘OK’ the system was frozen for 1 minute. But it didn’t works. After that i can’t use auto-type.

On my fresh installed Notebook it works fine. After clicking on okay the auto-type works.

I’ve been seeing the same thing on my setup. In my case I believe it to be connected with the VMware horizon client, but I’m not 100% confident about that.

I’ll look into it more when it happens again.

I haven’t installed any Virtual Machines. So it can’t be the reason.
The first time i got that problem was after release of KDE 6.

I just found the solution. It was a hardware Problem. After switching the TPM from auto to TPM 2.0 it works fine.

Thanks!

I’ll have a look at my setup.

I have the same issue, but I don’t have TPM atm, my current motherboard is quite old, so I can’t try that fix. :frowning:

Is there any setting I can change somewhere to “whitelist” the keepassxc program and stop EndeavourOS from asking that almost every single time please?

Someone on reddit recommended that I look into a keyring daemon, but after googling to learn what that is and seeing what I quoted below in the archwiki search result, nope, no way I ain’t touching keyrings. Anything else I can do please?!

There was a security issue (known as CVE-2018-19358) reported in the past regarding the behaviour of the GNOME/Keyring API. Any application can easily read any secret if the keyring is unlocked. And, if a user is logged in, then the login/default collection is unlocked. Available D-Bus protection mechanisms (involving the busconfig and policy XML elements) are not used by default and would be easy to bypass anyway.
