KDE Plasma 6 Next Year?

This is regarding a DE, and not a Distro per se (not counting KDE Neon), so I hope I’m posting in the right cathegory.

5.27 is the LAST KDE Plasma 5!

Tl; dw: If I understand Niccolo Ve (the person behind the floating panel) right, the last Plasma 5 will be 5.27, and then Plasma 6 will follow next year. This is because implementing Qt6, and probaby won’t incorporate any major style changes as it did with the Plasma 4 to Plasma 5 transition.

IIRC Nate Graham mentioned that 5.27 will be released in 4 months, 5.28 will be skipped and 6 will be released at the time or a bit earlier than 5.29. So we have a bit less than a year until 6.
