KDE Plasma 6.7 Is out - HURRY UP!

A new bug fix update just hit the mirrors.

That would be KDE Gear 26.04.3:

Correct. Thanks for your reply.

Looks like the Blackdon put his setup on the AUR:

This is the video of using KDE + Noctalia:

Pretty much in a couple months I will check it out.

For me, MKV files used to have an indigo/blue-violet icon (#4154ba) and now they show up gray (#777777) instead. Other video formats (e.g. MP4) still have their colored icons, so it seems specific to Matroska.

I noticed it after updating to Plasma 6.7. Nothing is actually broken, it just bugs me that these files now look different, and I can’t find any indication that this color was intentionally changed. Did something change, or did something get messed up on my end during the update?

Isn’t that part of ‘theme’?

Yes, but I’m still on the default Breeze theme and haven’t changed that.

But that doesn’t mean the theme hasn’t been updated, does it ?

I checked the current Breeze icon source and the Matroska icon (video-x-matroska) is still indigo #4154ba at every size, it hasn’t been recolored to gray in the update. The gray I’m getting (#777777) is the exact color of the generic video-x-generic icon, so my .mkv files look like they’re falling back to the generic icon instead of the Matroska-specific one.

So if anyone else here is on the new KDE version and still sees the indigo mkv icon, that would basically confirm something got scrambled on my end during the update rather than a deliberate change everyone received. Can anyone on current Plasma/Frameworks check what color their .mkv files show?

Default Breeze Icon set

thanks I didn’t know about kinfo!!

I do not use icon-view typically, so I’m not sure what I’m seeing (or if it’s changed), but i see gray icons on mkv files as well.

That means the color was changed because it was indigo before.

Appears so
