Like I said, it might have errors (most likely) and those cannot be repaired in Linux, but only in Windows.
Oh, and …regarding Windows in VBox:
It is connected to your PC, via USB, right?! (No need for Shared Folders here.)
So it can be repaired in a VBox -Windows guest.
Just allow the USB connection of your HDD in VBox Manager.
The drive then will appear in file-explorer, right-click it, etc. etc.
Trust me, I did it myself.
