But it only works with KDE Plasma. Arch-Update is usable on all desktop environments, that’s why I’m using it. Don’t want to be forced to a specific environment, although I’m using KDE since months … 😃

When I first tried to use Apdatifier, I couldn’t log into Plasma after rebooting. I had to remove the package from tty and log into the Plasma GUI again. I don’t know what went wrong, but I don’t use the plugin anymore. It was probably just my setup 🤷

Arch and its derivatives like EOS are rolling distros. So typically over a few days there would be updates in some or many packages. In such a scenario what is the point of having `Apdatifier` or its alternatives? These notifiers makes sense for Debian/Mint type of Distros.

Just wait for a week or fortnight or monthly and then update Arch/EOS.

I need an app to watch out for Plasmoid updates. That’s why I want to take a look at `Apdatifier`. For Arch updates, I’m using Arch-Update.
