Hi all,
I installed KDE Eos. Everything is fine except the next :
- need to re-enter Wifi password after every boot/restart
- can not adjust volume with F keys or mute
Thanks
Hi all,
I installed KDE Eos. Everything is fine except the next :
Thanks
Would that work for the pwd issue?
Thanks, it is working now
Mark it solved.
Which hardware do you have, if it is a Thinkpad, you have to deselect the fn keys to be able to work with those functions?
Otherwise, you can set those keys in the system settings, with some systems you have to select the keys manually to function properly.
Hm, I don’t have those option.

P.S.
I found it in system settings, tried to add them manually but nothing happened when I press F key.
You don’t have to press the Fn key for those, only when you need the F1, F2 etc. specifically.
EDIT: discard my answer, I misread your reply.
Only on Windows I need to press FN key with F2 etc. On linux just F2 works.
Atm F2,F3 working fine ( brightness keys). F5 keyboard light also. But F6 (mute), F7, F8 for volume adjustment don’t work.
Even in settings I manually added F7 for volume down ( it was there F7) but nothing changed when I press them.
To get that out of the way, did you install any additional audio related software after the main install?
And can you hear any sound at all besides keyboard issue?
First no and for sound it is working normally
Apparently it’s a hp thing, in arch wiki it says you simply remap the keys manually.
But this is first time I had issues with volume keys… on previous install of Endeavour os no issues at all
I will check this btw thanks
Some info also on Manjaro forum, similar issue? But other f buttons.
