Is it possible to change from RSYNC to BTRFS?

HI people,
Just installed Endeavour KDE PLasma and realized that it gave me RSYNC not BTRFS, correct? I went to install Timeshift when I remembered I would prefer to use BTRFS. I thought the live user version was BTRFS, but didn’t know about actually installing Endeavour with KDE Plasma whether or not BTRFS was still an option Any opinions? Thanks in advance for your help.

That’s quite possibly the most confused post I have ever read :grinning:

Can you share the output of the command findmnt --real so we can see how your system is setup

No doubt you’re right. I don’t quite understand the language or how to communicate it yet. Sorry, Elloquin but I’m trying. Really, I am.
I’ll see if I can try dalto’s request.

dalto, Does this help?
[bobc@bob-z87xoc ~]$ findmnt --real
TARGET SOURCE FSTYPE OPTIONS
/ /dev/sdc2 ext4 rw,noatime
└─/boot/efi /dev/sdc1 vfat rw,relatime,fmask=0077,dmask=0077,codepage=437,iocharset=ascii,shortname=mixed,utf8,errors=remount-ro

It looks you did a basic ext4 install, not btrfs. It is theoretically possible to convert it but it is probably easier to reinstall.

During the install, if you want btrfs you can choose manual partitioning or follow one of the btrfs tutorials on the forum.

Thank you. I’ll reinstall. :crossed_fingers:
